You Can Help
The
Northwest Coalition would welcome new board members who can
actively participate in monthly board meetings held in Clarion
the last Tuesday of the month. Mileage reimbursement is provided.
Board
members endorse the organization’s mission and participate
actively in the strategic planning process, providing guidance
and assistance in furthering the Coalition’s goals.

of special interest to you and/or one that could fully utilize
your talents
Committee
Description
Strategic
Planning/Needs Assessment
This committee is responsible for developing both short-term
and long-term plans of action. This committee creates the goals
and objectives of the Coalition and also completes a self-assessment
module annually.
Policy
and Procedure
This committee recommends policy and procedure changes to the
Executive Committee and the Coalition. It is responsible for
overseeing the Standard Operations Procedures Manual. The Policy
and Procedure Committee writes the Bylaws and implements new
policy.
Consumer
Advisory Committee
This group consists of at least five consumers, who meet to
address consumer needs in Northwest Pennsylvania. The members
of this committee bring recommendations to the Coalition, Executive
Committee, and all service providers.
Membership/Nominating
Committee
This committee aids in recruitment and sustains Coalition membership.
The members of this committee are responsible for the nomination
of officers and orientation of new members.
Allocations
Committee
This committee is responsible for recommending service priorities,
determining the percentage of money to be allocated to services
and making program recommendations to the Alliance.
Executive
Committee
The president shall report all actions taken by the Executive
Committee to the Coalition and the Alliance. This committee
evaluates the needs of the Coalition, oversees all of the committees
and their work, and makes decisions for the Coalition.
